I had skipped Sizzling Sixteen because I was tired of the formula of her books. But I picked up Seventeen and enjoyed every minute of it. Reminded me of why I liked her in the first place. Awaiting the movie in January!! (Jean from CHE) Spooner / Pete Dexter BCD, FIC Spooner is a troubled child, and grows into a troubled adult while his kind stepfather tries to help him. This might be more of a man's book, hilarious, and a little raunchy. Fannie Flagg for men! Highly recommended for all! (Debbie from SHL) Still Missing / Chevy Stevens EB, FIC, LT, PL This book was so good I forgot that it was fiction until the very end. This author came out with a strong debut novel. (Heather from ROG/Librarian) A Study in Scarlet / Sir Arthur Conan Doyle EB, FIC This is a brilliant classic from the 19th century. Sherlock Holmes is an intellectual, eccentric genius. (Doug from RSV) The Walk / Richard Paul Evans BCD, FIC, LT A little book that reads like a true-life journal, with a multitude of life lessons to ponder. The second book in the series, Miles to Go, was a good read, too. A scribe has appeared to write his life story. Left as a feral orphan on the streets, his childhood hides a dark secret about his parents' death at the hands of the Chandrian. Leaving his student life at university where he often explores the hidden archane archives, he faces adventures in search of his family's mysteries.
